When success isn’t making you happy

Sucess: Upward or Inward?

You worked your butt off and finally got to a point that you are a SUCCESS!!

You have a good job, plenty of stuff, some free time to play, a place you can call home, and maybe even a partner and some good friends. You get to travel, eat some mighty fine meals, and have a designer dog.

Yes, you are a success!

You showed the world.

You proved to your parents that you could do it.

You raised the bar and wowed them all.

But why then do you still need to keep proving?

To keep doing more?

Why can’t you just sit back and be CONTENT and HAPPY?

Why are the goals that used to fuel you suddenly seem boring and a waste of time?

For those of us who have been striving for many years and are so used to achieving – it might feel weird to stop achieving.  But pursuing goals just for the sake of pursuing goals can get boring very quickly.

So I would like to offer you an alternative…

Maybe, just maybe…

You have hit a new point in your life

A point where the goal is on the inside

rather than on the outside

Maybe it's time for an inward journey... rather than an upward one.

This could look like more inquiry, meditation, and peace of mind.

Let’s start by asking some key questions:

Am I Happy?

Is What I’m Doing Making Me Happy?

Am I living an authentic life or trying to impress others?

You won’t be happy chasing someone else’s idea of success.

You won’t be happy with someone else’s perfect job, perfect life, or perfect hobbies.

Success is personal.  Maybe it’s time to start looking for it in a whole new place.
